Ugghhh....It's not that I don't love my kids or I'm just some overly pretentious suburban yuppie parent who doesn't like conformity - it's that I've never been to Disney and I really have no desire to be there. Still, Rachell has promised me the kids will enjoy it, it's a great time for the family, and we will not regret it.
Here's hoping her words come true. I'll be posting as we lead up to this next trip and then giving reactions to follow.

Dress warm! And in layers - we've done Disney several times mid January. One year we scraped ice off the windshield of our rental car (hotel key cards work great), another year we wore shorts. The boat is a fun ride from the Transportation Center to Magic Kingdom, though very chilly 1st thing. Start at the back of the park and work forward - it's less crowded. Frontierland is a great spot to watch the parade - you can sit on the shop boardwalks, and it's near the beginning, so while it's still going on through the rest of the park, you can get in some rides. There is a shortcut to Frontierland from Adventureland, to the right of the Tiki Room. Always use Fast Passes when possible. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteLoving the advice, Kathi. I'm REALLY praying for good weather. I'm not sure about the Fast Passes, but I'm only basing that on price. You really think it's worth it?
